20 Years of Mile-High Racing for Pro Motocross Championship at Lakewood’s Thunder Valley Motocross Park

Colorado native Eli Tomac is making his long-awaited return to Thunder Valley Motocross Park in Lakewood for the first time since capturing his last championship title in 2022. This year’s event also marks two decades of motocross excitement at the picturesque venue, drawing motorsports fans from across the state.

Hailing from Cortez, Tomac is set to compete on home turf once again and aims to secure his fourth victory at Thunder Valley this Saturday.

“I’m excited to be back, ready to hit the track and hopefully put on a great show for everyone,” said the 32-year-old rider.

Fans are eager to see the local favorite back in action, as he faces off against elite competition in one of the sport’s most demanding events.

The Pro Motocross Championship, featuring 11 rounds across 10 states from late May to late August, showcases hundreds of the sport’s top athletes. The series visits some of the most historic tracks in motocross, some with more than 50 years of legacy.

Thunder Valley, located at the base of Dinosaur Ridge, offers a challenging course filled with steep climbs, sharp turns, and massive jumps, testing even the most skilled riders.
